Job Title: Front Office Staff
Position Summary/Purpose:
The front office staff are responsible for all front desk and medical records and for performing customer services and administrative tasks to support the delivery of clinical services.
Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Answers phones and schedules appointments as needed
- Gathers and/or verifies demographic and insurance information and data entry of information into the EHR
- Verifies insurance coverage
- Enters clinical and other information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other systems as required
- Collects fees/co-pays/deductibles
- Assists with completion of new intake paperwork.
- Checks faxes and distributes to the proper provider or administrator.
- Enhance work environment by demonstrating a positive and professional attitude with physicians, co-workers, patients and vendor representatives.
- Other duties as assigned by Front Office Supervisor and/or Clinical Manager

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test, or equivalent
- 1 year experience in Medical Office environment
Required Skills:
- Demonstrates organizational skills for prioritizing daily work.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Demonstrates knowledge of medical and behavioral health insurance
- Basic computer skills for Windows-based applications
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multitask
- Possess a body of knowledge specific to behavioral health and medical terminology
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word with willingness to learn Microsoft Excel and other programs as needed, such as EHR
- Verbal and written communication skills appropriate for a professional environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
