Swimming Pool Service Technician

Responsibilities:

- Knowledge of and the ability to test and properly balance swimming pool chemicals as well as service the pool by brushing it, draining or filling (if needed), and emptying skimmer and pump baskets.

- Ability to diagnose, repair, and replace swimming pool equipment.

- Willingness to attend service and repair related classes and courses.

- Responsible for ensuring the company truck is maintained, cleaned, and properly stocked with all items needed to conduct business.

- Properly maintain accurate records of pool services performed.

- Ability to identify and communicate to the construction, scheduling, and warranty departments repair needs and/or issues that fall into their respective department.

- Must be comfortable handling chemicals used in servicing a swimming pool including, but not limited to, muriatic acid, chlorine, and various algicides.

- Conduct "Pool School" with our customers. Show our customers the funtions and features of the swimming pool equipment and ensure the customer understands how to operate their swimming pool equipment.

- Willingness to learn and assist wherever needed.

- Assist in training.

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years experience with Jandy swimming pool equipment and of pool maintenance or a related field is preferred.

- Knowledge of pool cleaning techniques and procedures.

- Plumbing experience is helpful.

- Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with power tools.

- Familiarity with hand tools used in equipment repair.

- Ability to diagnose and resolve common pool equipment issues.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Skills:

- Valid and Clean Driver License

- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and address their needs

- Ability lift heavy equipment and to operate power tools safely and effectively

- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions

We are looking for a swimming pool service professional to assist in starting/firing-up our pools, conduct "pool school" with our customers, and service our swimming pools.
