Job Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Marine Technician specializing in marine electronics and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will also be cross-trained or willing to develop expertise in other onboard systems, such as plumbing, and mechanical systems. This role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team to ensure customer satisfaction and quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, install, repair, and maintain marine electronics and electrical systems, including navigation equipment, communication systems, and power distribution.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on a variety of onboard systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, plumbing, and other systems as needed.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer’s manuals.
  • Maintain detailed service records and provide comprehensive reports for customers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure service expectations are met.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Marine Technician, with a focus on electronics and electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of DC and AC electrical systems, marine electronics, and NMEA 2000 networks.
  • Familiarity with brands such as Raymarine, Garmin, Simrad, and other leading manufacturers.
  • Cross-training or willingness to learn other onboard systems (plumbing, mechanical, ETC).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work. Company vehicles provided during work hours

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
