This is a full-time position that is responsible for overseeing the A/R collection’s function and assisting the Credit Director in assessing the credit worthiness of counterparties. Effectively handles difficult requests, builds trusting, long-term relationships with counterparties.
Responsibilities:
- Processes credit applications, obtain missing information as needed. Extracts various credit reports, requests credit and bank references.
- Submits credit application recommendation package to Credit Director for review.
- Sets up customer credit accounts in multiple ERP systems and makes any ongoing changes requested for all True companies.
- Maintains credit file repository for all True companies.
- Maintains onboarding and file review master file.
- Performs ongoing credit reviews.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and other internal teams as necessary to complete tasks.
- Assist in resolutions on aged A/R, contacting customers as assigned by the Chief Operations Officer.
- Extract reporting for all True companies.
- Completes customer credit references and follow-ups.
- Upon review, take appropriate action to release sales orders on credit hold in E21 for TPS customers.
- Sets up A/P vendor accounts for all True companies and makes any changes that are requested.
- Oversees the maintenance of vendor account information with current trade and banking information.
- Enter vendor ACH banking information in Oracle, E21, and Excalibur.
- Enter ACH banking information changes in Oracle, E21, and Excalibur.
- An Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent education with five (5) years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Proven ability to produce accurate work within regular deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook software applications.
- Ability to master various in-house software applications.
- Ability to use a ten-key by touch, computer keyboarding, able to operate a copier and fax machine.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
