Summary
The is a full-time position responsible for the security of multiple True companies’ businesses and residences, including the protection, safeguarding, and security of property and assets, members of True families, employees, customers, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Proactively engage in crime preventive measures by regularly patrolling True properties in Casper, Wyoming and surrounding areas assigned by the Security Director; inspect True companies’ facilities including condition of security equipment,
- Identify and assess security vulnerabilities through direct observation and/or communication with current employees, leveraging these insights to implement creative and practical mitigation strategies; promoting “Security is everyone’s business concept”.
- Ensure security-related compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations.
- Continuously monitor public and private sources to identify evolving criminal threats, trends, or events that may impact True's business sectors or regions; analyze and disseminate relevant threat intelligence to internal stakeholders to support informed decision-making and enhance security measures.
- Independently manage all aspects of security trail camera operations, including deploying and concealing trail cameras in vulnerable areas, performing routine maintenance, and reviewing footage to identify suspicious or illegal activity in your assigned area.
- Ensure the proper deployment and functionality of security devices, including locks, signage, cameras, and lighting, to maintain a secure and safe environment.
- Conduct unannounced visits to both occupied and unoccupied oil and gas or trucking sites and facilities to inspect for evidence of criminal activity and identify security vulnerabilities, ensuring thorough assessments as needed.
- Support Human Resources, Legal, Operations Officers, and Superintendents during employee terminations by focusing on mitigating potential immediate or long-term threats; approach situations with compassion, care, respect, and diplomacy to ensure a safe and respectful process.
- Arranges for security-related contract services and recommends the best available option.
- Anticipate problems, provide advice/recommendations, assist in the development of policies and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation and operation of automated security systems, and maintain records for inspections.
- Takes initiative to identify, analyze, and propose resolutions for a variety of security related problems and situations.
Qualifications
- An associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or Public Safety Administration with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related business field and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with security technology, including video, access control, and alarm monitoring systems.
- Understanding of modern concepts and principles related to Active Shooter prevention and response, Workplace Violence prevention and response, interacting with diverse workplace issues.
- Must be detail oriented and effective and efficient at documenting and/or communicating the detailed.
