Job Title: Mobile Phlebotomist (pay per collections at each facility plus mileage)

As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples, picking up nurse collected samples and ensuring accurate specimen handling.
Responsibilities:
- Perform phlebotomy procedures proficiently and efficiently in diverse environments such Long term care facilities and patient homes
- Interact with patients in a compassionate and professional manner to ensure their comfort and understanding throughout the blood sampling process.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to accurately locate veins for blood collection.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Record vital signs and other relevant patient information accurately.
- Collaborate with clinical laboratory staff to ensure proper specimen labeling and transportation.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for phlebotomy procedures.
Qualifications:
- Certification in phlebotomy.
- Experience working in a mobile setting preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in performing venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy essential for accurate blood sample collection.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to specimen handling and processing.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
