Job Summary
True Property Management is seeking a skilled and dependable Service Technician to join our maintenance team! This multi-site role with properties all around Baltimore City. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential maintenance, work well both independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent customer service skills.
The Property Management Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of properties. This position requires a hands-on approach to facility management, focusing on repairs, customer service, and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set that includes electrical work, HVAC/R systems, and field service experience, with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance work orders and complete repairs efficiently
- Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled
- Prepare units for move-in and ensure apartments are in top condition
- Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems
- Repair and maintain appliances, electrical systems, and plumbing
- Hang, prep, and sand drywall
- Paint common areas and apartments as needed
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety on the property grounds
- Assist with snow removal during winter months
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday emergencies
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules effectively.
- Must maintain a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations.
- Capable of performing sustained manual labor.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants and team members
- Strong plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills required
- Must be available for on-call emergencies (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues in various fixtures and equipment
- Comfortable working on ladders and lifting up to 85 lbsProven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.

Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required
3-5 years of residential maintenance experience required
Schedule & Compensation:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Starting at $20 /hour (based on experience) Phone Allowance
Job requires overtime, holiday and weekend work, ownership of hand tools, and being on call.
