What are the responsibilities and job description for the Copywriter position at True Religion Brand Jeans?
THE PURPOSE:
Support Creative Brand Manager with creative messaging for a wide variety of strategies and initiatives that achieve the marketing objectives of True Religion. Work closely with cross functional business partners to develop content that holds true to the brand voice. Keep the editorialized brand voice cohesive throughout multiple channels.
THE ROLE
· Work with the Creative Brand Manager in the development of creative copy for website, mobile, emails, social media, blogs, marketing materials, press advertising, news releases, sales letters, articles, brochures, product descriptions, text ads, banner ads, etc.
· Ensure that all copy material is consistent with the brand voice and messaging is cohesive across all channels
· Work with Creative Brand Manager to develop branding and strategic marketing concepts related to copy
· Work cross functionally with internal teams to ensure accurate content, consistency, and quality in copy collateral
· Assist with the implementation of processes as needed, to optimize the copy development
· Implement SEO best practices
· Collaborate with the Junior Art Director and team to develop an effective tone and voice across graphics assets and experiences
· Partner with the merchandise and design team to develop a copywriting calendar that establishes needs and Product Knowledge deliverables
YOU ARE: An experienced and creative fashion writer with collaborative communication skills. You are calm under the pressure of deadlines and able to prioritize efficiently. You have an up-to-date social perception, your copy is relevant and modern, you understand how people will react to your writing.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
· 3 to 5 years of experience working with a fashion, apparel, or lifestyle brand
· Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related field
· A genuine interest in, and knowledge of, the fashion industry
· An expert mastery of the English language and creative writing
· Sound understanding of copywriting tactics such as SEO, keywords, and text structure
· Firm understanding of the consumer mindset
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
· Strong marketing, branding and design sensibility
· Excellent communication, organizational, attention to detail and problem solving skills
· Able to multi-task and work on a variety of projects at the same time in different points of development
· Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
· Ability to carry out a concept from start to completion and work independently
· Skilled in Microsoft software including but not limited to Power Point, Excel, Word and Outlook
· Strong research skills
