As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and high-quality data delivery for ongoing projects. You will collaborate with developers, architects, and analysts to design robust data models and optimize data flows, all while driving cross-functional team success. Your expertise will support our organization's data transformation journey, making a real difference to the way data is utilized across projects.

100% remote with expectations of in-office as   needed for meetings and trainings

What You’ll Do:

• Data Modeling & Architecture: Craft and implement scalable AWS-based data models to streamline data conversion, reconciliation, and error handling.
  • Data Analysis & Quality: Dive into complex data to identify and resolve anomalies while aligning processes with business goals.
  • Database & Query Optimization: Fine-tune SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures in AWS RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) to ensure peak performance.
  • Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting: Monitor and optimize ETL and SQL performance, providing expert troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with stakeholders, product managers, and QA teams to validate requirements and deliver on business objectives.
  • Data Pipelines & Integration: Design, build, and optimize seamless data pipelines and integrations.
  • Testing & Documentation: Ensure data accuracy with rigorous validation, thorough documentation of ETL processes, and clear technical specs, including ER diagrams.
  • Team Leadership: Offer guidance and mentorship to fellow data engineers, sharing your expertise to foster continuous improvement.

What You Bring:

• Data Modeling & Warehousing Expertise: 4 years working with Star & Snowflake schemas and data normalization.
  • ETL & Transformation Mastery: Hands-on experience with tools like Informatica, Talend, or SnapLogic (4 years).
  • AWS Expertise: In-depth knowledge of AWS services like S3, EC2, CloudWatch, SNS, and RDS; bonus points for Azure/GCP experience.
  • Advanced Database Skills: 5 years with Oracle, MS SQL, NoSQL (DynamoDB/MongoDB), Snowflake; deep expertise in SQL optimization and schema design.
  • Programming Savvy: Strong SQL and Python skills, plus experience with Spark and SparkSQL.
  • Problem Solver & Communicator: A self-starter with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. You thrive in collaborative environments and can pivot quickly to meet project needs.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in BI, data warehousing, or healthcare/PBM is a plus!
