We are seeking a skilled and proactive Hotel Director of Engineering to lead the upkeep and functionality of all hotel facilities, ensuring the property meets the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. A hands-on leader with a strong technical background and a can-do attitude, you thrive in a dynamic environment and are committed to upholding safety and quality. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to maintain the integrity of the hotel’s physical structure, mechanical systems, and grounds, delivering exceptional results while supporting a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of management experience in luxury or 5-star or hotel maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, hydraulic systems, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and other key systems.
- Building Maintenance and Hospitality Maintenance in a hotel or similar environment.
- Expertise in Luxury Hotel Operations, including hotel engineering and property maintenance.
- Experience with elevator maintenance and troubleshooting electrical circuitry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Energy Management Systems (EMS), and implementing sustainability initiatives.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance, plumbing systems, and facilities engineering practices.
- Familiarity with guest-focused maintenance operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Proficient in maintenance processes, tools, and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS), ALICE Maintenance Software, and Microsoft Office.
- Regular exposure to mechanical systems, weather variations, and occasional extreme temperatures.
- Frequent interaction with airborne particles, chemicals, and humid or wet conditions.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including bending, climbing, lifting, and extended periods of standing or walking.
