We are seeking an experienced Lead Design Engineer – Mechanical and Structural to join our team in the Huntsville / Madison area. This hybrid role offers a balance of hands-on engineering and leadership responsibilities, focusing on a variety of projects involving US government, military, and commercial fixed-wing aircraft, rotorcraft, and unmanned vehicles
This is not a desk-bound role; instead, it requires someone eager to take a hands-on approach to problem-solving and project execution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage mechanical and structural engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Oversee design, analysis, and testing activities for a range of aerospace platforms, including fixed-wing, rotorcraft, and unmanned vehicles.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to align project objectives and deliverables.
- Drive hands-on involvement in the development and troubleshooting of mechanical and structural systems.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
