Metals Sales Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager. This is a work-from-home position offering flexibility and autonomy, with travel required 50% - 75% of the time, primarily throughout Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in selling metals into automotive, aerospace, and other specialty markets, with a proven ability to grow sales, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute to strategic business planning.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of sales experience, specifically in the metals industry.
- Proven success in selling metals into automotive, aerospace, and specialty applications.
- Strong consultative selling skills and a history of building a profitable book of business.
- Proficient in CRM platforms for pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels.
- Confident in delivering presentations, negotiating contracts, and driving deals to closure.
- Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
- Willing and able to travel 50%–75%, primarily within the Midwest and Southeastern U.S.
Essential Duties
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue, maximize gross profit, and target key performance metrics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers within targeted segments.
- Create and implement sales and marketing plans aligned with company goals, with a focus on high-value applications in automotive, aerospace, and specialty sectors.
- Conduct regular customer visits to foster relationships and understand evolving needs.
- Serve as the voice of the customer internally by communicating feedback to leadership and working closely with Customer Service to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience.
- Assist in onboarding and training new Customer Service team members on sales processes and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, develop forecasts, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Research industry trends and provide market intelligence to support product development and strategic decisions.
- Identify and pursue new product and market opportunities within your territory.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
