We are searching for an experienced Process Engineer. You will provide crucial engineering and technical support across operations. Initially focusing on the start-up and technical support of systems and processes, you will play a pivotal role in commissioning and ensuring optimal performance and alignment with production goals.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in a professional engineering role, with a strong preference for experience in heavy manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of chemistry and chemical processes, particularly as they apply to metal production.
- Proficiency in using process programming software such as Excel, Minitab, and HMI software for interfacing and data management.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Basic programming skills are beneficial for optimizing process operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a capability for logical and critical thinking.
Essential Duties
- Support the final design, configuration, and installation of equipment and processes prior to start-up.
- Provide critical technical support during the commissioning and start-up phases of the plant.
- Develop, assess, and implement process improvements post-start-up to enhance equipment reliability, productivity, capacity, throughput, quality, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to optimize production and minimize costs.
- Lead continuous improvement activities, including problem solving with Kaizen events.
- Collect and analyze data using standard scientific and statistical methods; develop and maintain reports to track and monitor key performance indicators.
- Support capital improvement projects and conduct risk analyses of equipment, processes, and systems.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering or chemical engineering is ideal.
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
