Position Overview:
As a Forklift Operator at True Star Transit you will play a crucial role in the accurate and efficient movement of goods within our refrigerated warehouse/distribution facilities. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and organizing shipments while maintaining high standards of safety, precision, and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload shipments of perishable goods onto trucks, ensuring proper handling and placement to prevent damage.
- Organize and arrange products within the warehouse according to company standards and guidelines, optimizing space and accessibility.
- Receive and place material onto production lines or other production equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including ensuring proper sanitation protocols are followed in refrigerated areas
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to prioritize tasks and ensure timely fulfillment of orders - be a team player!
- Operate machinery safely to maintain quality and production goals
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist in other warehouse tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor.
