This position is responsible for all functions related to the closing of residential real estate transactions. An Escrow Officer ensures that the mortgage loan, title and other documents are properly executed, delivered and recorded. This is an excellent position for someone who enjoys working with people, has a strong attention to detail and can perform administrative tasks over the telephone or computer.
Escrow officer experience is required.
Responsibilities:
- Make sure that all required documents and fees are collected and disbursed to the proper parties.
- Monitor real estate transactions for regulatory compliance and for accuracy of documents and financial records.
- Insure that payments are made to all necessary parties.
- Track and pay interest, taxes, insurance, property assessments, mortgages, etc. on behalf of the parties to the transaction.
- Serve as a liaison between home buyers and sellers.
- Have understanding of legal terms pertaining to escrow.
- Have ability to respond in a timely manner with an accurate answer to customer questions.
