Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. Duties
- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely, including calculating wages, deductions, and bonuses.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation related to payroll entries to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Manage payroll data entry and maintain records of debits and credits associated with payroll transactions.
- Collaborate with HR to resolve any discrepancies related to employee hours or pay rates.
- Utilize payroll software such as ADP, Ceridian, or Kronos for efficient processing of payroll tasks.
- Prepare reports on payroll metrics and assist in audits as required.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Requirements
- Must have Workday System experience.
- Proven experience in payroll management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and general accounting practices.
- Proficiency in using payroll software Workday and HRIS systems.
- Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable processes is a plus.
