About the Job :
Multi-specialty Medical Practice is seeking an experienced Medical Biller. EXPERIENCE with Medicare and Medi-cal Primary and specialty care (Vascular, Podiatry, Cardiology, Orthopedic, and Pain Management) billing. OBL or surgery center billing knowledge will be added value.
The applicant will be expected to have process knowledge of the following billing practices :
Daily electronic billing and payment postingFollow-ups on claims, and working denialsVerify insurance eligibility coverage. If neededWorks with insurance denials and follows up on claims status.Reviews AR / and makes necessary corrections.Scanning, filing, faxing, emailingEnsure that fee schedules are updated as neededKeep Office Manager updated on any billing issues that require her knowledge and assistanceRespond to any and all correspondence pertaining to outstanding insurance issuesICD-10 and CPT codes knowledge.Perform other duties as assignedRequirements :
Medical Billing / Coding CertificationMinimum two to five (2-5) years billing experience in a medical setting Knowledge and experience in AR structure.Have the ability to prioritize, organize, troubleshoot, and problem-solveEffective verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of medical billing concepts and medical terminologyKnowledge and understanding of the relationship between procedure and diagnosis compatibility to maximum reimbursementExcellent communication skills with patients, physicians, and staffExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skillsSelf-starterAbility to work in a relatively unsupervised environment with a high degree of accuracyAbility to operate various office equipment necessary to perform job functionsTeam player with a pleasant attitude towards the practice of medicineJob Type : Part time or full time
Salary : $35.00 - $45.00 per hour or higher (negotiable) depending on Experience.
