Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents effectively.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations while providing excellent customer service to all individuals on site.
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing first aid when necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during investigations or emergencies.
- Document all security incidents and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing preventative measures.
- Manage conflicts effectively through de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies.
Experience
- Previous experience in a security role is preferred; experience in law enforcement or military service is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with diverse groups.
