Growing medical practice is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in providing collaborative treatment and compassionate care to our patients. Qualifications
Valid Advanced Practice State License issued by the State Board of Nursing, CPR certification, meet and maintain all legal requirements per state and national statutes, excellent communication skills, and valid prescriptive authority.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively evaluate, treat, delegate, document and discharge patients according to service guidelines.
- Perform physical exams; obtain medical histories, and record findings.
- Order appropriate treatments/procedures based on exam findings.
- Weekly weigh-ins, measurements and injections of patients for a medical weight loss program.
- Adhere to organization and department policies and procedures.
- Assist in a collaborative rehabilitation of the patient.
- Documentation of patient care within a timely manner.
- Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by Tennessee laws governing the practice of Nurse Practitioners in coordination with other members of the health care team.
- Perform trigger point injections and intramuscular injections.
- Perform allergen scratch tests and administer immunotherapy injections.
- Delegation of work to and oversight of MA(s).
- NRCME certification for TNDOT physicals is a plus, or the willingness to become certified.
