What are the responsibilities and job description for the Help Desk Support Specialist position at True West Beef?

As an Help Desk Support Specialist , you will be the face of Agri Beef Co. when it comes to supporting employees and the internal technologies they leverage daily. You will work with the Corporate IT team to ensure that employees have a seamless technology experience at work. If you enjoy helping people with technical issues, this is the career for you.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond promptly to user inquiries via phone, email, ticketing systems, and in-person, providing accurate resolutions to technical issues.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware, software applications, and peripheral devices.
- Provide onboarding technical support, including account setup, software installations, and user training.
- Document support issues and solutions accurately within the ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to appropriate IT teams or personnel in a timely manner.
- Track IT asset inventory, ensuring accuracy of records and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and update documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Support various IT projects and initiatives as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365 applications, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Experience using remote desktop support tools.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices or related IT support methodologies
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in IT help desk support or related technical customer service role.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , ITIL Foundation) are desirable but not required.
