Position Summary
Participates in a variety of order preparations and delivery/pick-up of products to/from customers/vendors. Verifies products from warehouses and loads/unloads vehicles. Responsible as a sole custodian of the property such as vehicle, cargo, equipment, cash/check paid by customers etc. during delivery/pick-up.
Essential Functions
Inspect the vehicle assigned for the day and fill out the safety report form before/after the trip.
Keep monitoring running condition of the vehicle and inform the management of any malfunctioning.
Pack products precisely according to customer specifications.
Drive trucks to pick up products and/or deliver products to/from customers/vendors.
Load and unload products into/from truck. Check products before loading and assemble them accurately according to customer/vendor orders.
Review invoices and match them to assembled products line by line in order to ensure no mistakes made and locate missing products and/or initiate corrections.
Collect payments, invoices, other paper works from customers/vendors and turns them into office as required.
Safeguard properties such as vehicle, cargo, equipment, payments collected from customers/vendors by using loss prevention methods such as locking doors.
Report product returns, complaints by customers to managers & sales reps.
Complete daily logs, equipment reports, trip reports, and any other documents as required.
Remove dirt, snow, ice etc. from windows and mirrors to ensure optimum visibility.
Tidy up the vehicle after the use.
Operate GPS system to keep the dispatch manager/customer-care updated on progression of the delivery
Report any accident immediately.
Responsive to telephone calls from the manager/customer-care.
Train new employees as requested by the management
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 21 year old.
Basic English required (oral and written)
Basic knowledge of job tasks
Certified in mandatory OSHA/FDA/DOT trainings such as operating of power pallet jacks
Valid Driver’s License with Class D
Meet qualification guidelines by FMCSA, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Minimum 6 month experience of driving trucks/van professionally
Maintain clean driving record at acceptable level
Maintain relationship with customers at acceptable level.
The negative result of drug screen tests as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to use two-wheelers
Experienced to drive a truck with 26000 GVWR and 18 ft. body length.
Familiar with roads in the delivery route
Knowledge and practice of Defensive Driving Skill
Skill to avoid parking tickets.
Skill to communicate diplomatically and effectively with customers/vendors, law enforcement officers, fellow employees, managements and avoid conflicts with them.
Understand and follow the contents of Drivers Handbooks.
Equipment/Gear/Accessory
Use motorized and/or non-motorized pallet jack
Use two wheeler to transport products
Skill to operate Roadnet Anywhere GPS system
Hair-net/Beard-net mandatory in the designated food preparation area
No pierce/ring of any kind allowed during operation
