Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. As a Leasing Accountant, you will support all leasing accounting aspects of a growing fleet of over 70 leased assets (commercial aircraft and engines), as well as having significant involvement in high visibility management reporting and analytics. This role reports to the Corporate Controller with a dotted line to the Vice President of Asset Management.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process and distribute all leasing invoices, including but not limited to security deposit, rent, maintenance reserves, and reconciliation invoices
- Provide copies of invoices and reconciliations to colleagues, investors, auditors or Lessees upon request
- Manage invoice approval workflows
- Process credits and adjustments
- Work with lessees on bulk invoicing in advance
- Calculation and processing of monthly default interest.
- Manage lessee receivables
- Process/track lessee receivables in asset management software, reconcile accounts, and support negotiations.
- Track lessee receivable accruals in company ledger.
- Tracking of payments via monitoring multiple bank accounts and working with administrators on payment confirmations.
- Working with Lessees regularly on receivable balances, including regular email and phone conversations across time zones globally.
- Lessee receivables reporting, including the development of the automation of reporting in business intelligence tool.
- Setup and management of lessee & bank accounts in lease management software.
- Assist with month-end accounting closing activities, including but not limited to revenue recognition, origination, disposition and servicing fee invoicing and investors’ accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Manage payments and distributions from asset owning entities to investors and TrueAero.
- Assist with the annual Leasing business unit budget, forecasting the projected revenue from asset sales and leases as well as the CapEx spend & follow on revenue from asset acquisitions
- Involved in monthly reconciliation of budgeted projections for revenue (projections vs actuals) for TAAM budget, and translate the impact on revenue due, as well as potential losses at a granular level.
- Maintenance reserves fund balance management including reconciliations.
- Participate in asset management system development and enhancements.
- Processing Quarterly & Annual audit request for lessees and investors.
- Other tasks and projects as directed by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- An accounting focused bachelor's degree and a minimum of three year’s prior experience in accounting or leasing.
- Strong analytical skills with uncompromising attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – experience managing large and complex datasets is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and be part of a multi-disciplinary team with diverse backgrounds.
- Effective organizational and time management skills – ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player and flexible; willing to perform tasks necessary to achieve common goals.
- A willingness to take on new work and learn new things every day is a must.
- An interest in aviation & aviation industry experience is a plus.
