You will work closely with senior management to ensure production processes run efficiently, meet quality standards, and adhere to safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Production Oversight:
- Plan and schedule production activities to meet production targets, customer demands, and deadlines
- Coordinate with production team members, senior supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor production processes to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce waste
Team Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of production workers, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and resolving issues
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, productivity, and safety
Quality Control:
- Assist in performing Root Cause/5Y analysis to determine reason(s) for production downtime and NPR issues
- Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance
- Address quality issues promptly, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure associate compliance with 5S initiatives
- Conduct safety training sessions, promote safety awareness, and actively participate in safety initiatives
- Identify and mitigate risks related to production processes, equipment, and workplace hazards
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare production reports, including performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Utilize data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and action plans to senior management and stakeholders
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
- 3 years of experience in a Production/Manufacturing environment
- Lean, 5S experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills preferred
- Experience in the Automotive Industry is highly desirable but not required
- Proficiency in MS Office, production management software, and data analysis tools
