Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Position patients correctly to capture the necessary images while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain and manage imaging systems, ensuring they are functioning properly and safely.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and patient care plans.
- Keep accurate records of patient information, imaging procedures, and results.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
Requirements
- Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist is required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and outpatient care practices.
- Familiarity with imaging systems and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Understanding of physiology knowledge relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
