Dental Receptionist Job Description
The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in the day-to-day activities of the dental office, ensuring seamless patient experiences through excellent administrative support.
- Maintain accurate records of patients, scheduling appointments, and managing the appearance of the dental office.
- Present financial treatment plans to patients and address their concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Tend to the needs of patients, serve as a contact between TrueCare and the community, and participate in preventative health education activities.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients upon entering the office and check them in/out efficiently.
- Pull patient charts prior to appointments, schedule and confirm appointments, and respond to phone calls.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, collect payments from patients, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
- Gather and record insurance information, submit treatment plans for predetermination of benefits, and accurately file patient information.
- Monitor inventory, order dental supplies, and ensure confidentiality of client information.
- Sort, organize, and distribute mail, and assist with facility management tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bilingual skills in English and Spanish highly valued.
- Minimum one year experience in an office environment; familiarity with dental terminology, materials, and medications essential.
- Ability to lift 50lbs; willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
