The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Practice Physician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare delivery system, you will provide comprehensive medical services for members of families within your scope of training.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine, acute, urgent, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative medical care to members of families, within the approved skills profile and/or scope of practice.
- Take detailed histories and perform complete physical examinations.
- Order or execute various tests, analyses and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.
- Analyze reports and findings of tests and examination and diagnose condition of patient.
- Make diagnoses (or differential diagnoses if a specific diagnosis is pending) for each patient, educate the patient and parents on the diagnosis, and institute treatment and follow-up care based on current standards of care, official guidelines, and evidence based medicine.
- Administer or prescribe appropriate pharmacological agents and treatments.
- Discuss any possible side effects to medication or immunization with patient.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from a medical school accredited by the American Medical Association or a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from a medical school accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in a Primary Care Field.
- Completion of an approved program of residency training in family practice.
- Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems.
