Job Summary
The Family Practice Physician provides medical services to members of families within the scope of training. This includes routine, acute, urgent, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical services to patients, including physical examinations, lab testing, and prescribing medications.
- Take detailed patient histories and perform complete physical examinations.
- Order or execute various tests and analyses to provide information on patient condition.
- Analyze reports and findings of tests and examination to diagnose patient conditions.
- Make diagnoses, educate patients, and institute treatment and follow-up care based on current standards of care.
- Administer or prescribe pharmacological agents and treatments as necessary.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from a medical school accredited by the American Medical Association or a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from a medical school accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in a Primary Care Field.
- Completion of an approved program of residency training in family practice.
- Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems.
