Job Overview
A Caring Connection is seeking compassionate LPNs and RNs to provide one-on-one private duty nursing care for pediatric to young adult patients. Enjoy a flexible schedule where you choose shifts based on your availability.
Locations: Multiple counties in NJ, including Middlesex, Union, Monmouth, Somerset, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Bergen, Burlington, and Passaic.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and nutrition via PEG (G) or J tube
- Provide trach care, suctioning, and maintenance
- Perform respiratory treatments (nebulizer, etc.)
- Assist with mobility, including Hoyer lift transfers
Experience & Training:
- Experience preferred, but training is provided for new nurses.
Experience
- Previous experience in nursing or healthcare is required; experience in home care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures relevant to private duty nursing.
- Skills in urgent care situations, including the ability to dialyze if necessary.
- Experience working with geriatric patients or those with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- A valid nursing license is required along with any additional certifications relevant to specialized care areas.
