Job Summary
Production machine operator position available. Position is 3rd shift (9:45 PM - 6:15 AM), 40 hours/week. Production Machine Operators will operate stamping presses and/or molding presses to produce stamped and/or molded parts.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for handling products, equipment, and materials per the company's quality system procedures.
- Follows specific work instructions provided for each job to fulfill the order requirements.
- Visually inspects parts for defects, also may inspect dimensionally using micrometers, calipers, gaging equipment, or mold mimics.
- Submits sample parts to inspection per instructions.
- Responsible for stopping production any time the quality of the product may be affected.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Responsible for general housekeeping functions to maintain a clean working environment.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Experience
- Punch press, mold press, and/or lathe experience in the metal stamping and/or molding industry preferred, but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work to meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- General math skills.
- Basic understanding of Quality System Requirements and relevance to the Production Machine Operator function.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
