Tax Supervisor

Trueline's client, a well-established public accounting firm with over 40 years of experience serving small to medium-sized businesses in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a Tax Supervisor to join their team. What You'll Do as the Tax Supervisor :

• Oversee and participate in the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and small to mid-sized businesses
• Conduct tax planning, projections, and research to provide clients with proactive guidance
• Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, managing their information requests and inquiries
• Ensure adherence to quality standards in tax filings and client documentation
• Support client tax resolution and respond to complex tax inquiries
• Assist in firm-wide initiatives and special tax projects as needed
