What You'll Do as the Automation Engineer Tech:
- Create and maintain documentation for engineering changes and machine BOMs
- Set up, troubleshoot, and debug automation machinery in production environments
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop new automation systems
- Manage projects from conception to completion, providing progress reports as needed
- Conduct performance tests on electro-mechanical assemblies and document results
- Assist with machine installation, customer training, and technical support (occasional travel required)
- Support the engineering department with mechanical and electrical design using CAD software
- Develop operation manuals and service bulletins for machinery
You'll Succeed as the Automation Engineer Tech if you Have:
- A bachelor's or associate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
- Strong electrical wiring skills and experience with control panels
- Familiarity with pneumatic systems and PLC programming
- Experience in reading and interpreting mechanical fabrication drawings
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and inventory management
- Ability to design and build jigs and fixtures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel for machine installations and customer support
