Trueline's client, a leading site development contractor specializing in mission-critical and large-scale commercial projects, is seeking a Sitework Estimator to join their team in Manassas Virginia. This established company, with over two decades of experience, has become a frontrunner in the industry and operates across multiple states. No travel is required for this role.
What You'll Do as the Estimator :
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Estimator and business development teams
- Assist with take-offs and compile bid proposals for extensive projects
- Contribute to all aspects of the bidding process, including plan take-offs, vendor quotes, quantity calculations, and product specification understanding
- Create and track RFIs, and provide value engineering recommendations as needed
- Support superintendents and foremen with GPS-related issues, both on-site and remotely
- Oversee initial project set-ups, including equipment calibration and model importation
- Educate field personnel on proper GPS system utilization for project layout
- Provide cut sheets and as-builts for projects
- Assist the estimating department with bid take-offs and soliciting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
