Trueline is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Iowa or Nebraska. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering across the Midwest.
What You'll Do as the Mechanical Engineer:
- Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings
- Perform calculations and analyses using specialized design software
- Produce technical drawings and documentation
- Assist in developing study reports and responding to contractor inquiries
- Conduct field investigations and site assessments
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations, including ASHRAE standards
- Collaborate with team members and interact directly with clients
Must-Haves as the Mechanical Engineer:
- 4 years as a Mechanical Engineer designing for higher ed, K-12, and/or city/county government projects
- 4 years of experience designing HVAC systems, process heating and cooling systems, plumbing system design, and fire-protection system
- Experience developing HVAC system and plumbing designs for various project types, including commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and other HVAC design software (e.g., Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP, etc.)
- Experience interfacing with customers, contractors, and stakeholders
- Okay with working onsite
- BS in Mechanical, MEP, or Construction Engineering
Nice-To-Haves as the Mechanical Engineer:
- 7 years of experience as a Mechanical or MEP Engineer designing systems for higher ed, K-12, and/or city/county government projects
- PE or EIT
- MS in Mechanical or Construction Engineering
