Senior Project Manager – Transmission
Location: Columbus, OH | Richmond, VA | Charlotte, NC
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Transmission to oversee and manage transmission projects across the Midwest (Ohio/Indiana) and Southeast (Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and estimating transmission work, either with a contractor or utility company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of transmission projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and financial goals.
- Lead project scheduling, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring transparency and efficiency in project execution.
- Manage and maintain customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement project estimates and cost analyses, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and organizational objectives.
- Supervise field operations and coordinate with various departments to streamline workflow and optimize productivity.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance, fostering a culture of workplace safety.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering professional development and team cohesion.
- Act as a direct point of contact for storm restoration efforts, coordinating rapid deployment of resources as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience managing transmission projects in the utility or contractor space.
- Strong background in project estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting within the transmission sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across different regions, ensuring operational efficiency and project success.
- Experience working with tools such as Oracle Primavera and Spectrum (preferred).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor teams at various levels.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with clients, internal teams, and field operations effectively.
- Certifications in project management, utility safety, or Lean Six Sigma (preferred but not required).
