Trueline's client, a leading construction company, is seeking a Wheelman to join their team in the field. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality road paving projects are completed safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do as the Wheelman:
- Collaborate with team members to execute paving projects at various locations
- Operate paving equipment, including knowledge of machine controls and grade/slope automation
- Adhere to DOT specifications, company safety policies, and equipment manuals
- Report any equipment damage, safety hazards, or accidents to the foreman immediately
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Travel regionally with the crew, occasionally requiring overnight stays
You'll Succeed as the Wheelman if you Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in the construction or paving industry (preferred)
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, especially extreme heat
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform labor-intensive tasks for up to 10-12 hours per day
- Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to analyze MSDS sheets
- Strong teamwork skills and sound judgment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and work environments
