Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and support for all maintenance personnel, including machinists, electricians, and custodians.
- Establish preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment uptime and longevity
- Coordinate personnel and resources to ensure routine maintenance tasks are performed timely
- Identify sources of unscheduled downtime that may be mitigated with improved maintenance procedures
- Identify and mitigate risks that may affect product quality or production efficiency
- Identify and mitigate safety risks and continually improve the overall environment throughout the facility, e.g. cleanliness, air quality, noise, ergonomics, etc.
- Provide support with equipment troubleshooting throughout the facility
- Prioritize maintenance tasks and assign resources
- Maintain proper record keeping per regulations and company requirements
- Manage outside contracted services including qualification, quoting, and scope of work
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify opportunities for employee development and training
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience with demonstrated increasing responsibility
- Comprehensive knowledge of industrial building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.
- Must be able to read and understand technical drawings (blueprints, electronic / mechanical schematics) to be able to repair / maintain equipment.
- Safety focused and knowledge of OSHA and state regulations.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work various shifts / days / nights as needed.
- Must have proven experience in troubleshooting and ensuring equipment breakdowns are repaired in a timely and effective manner.
