SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the development, implementation, administration, and coordination of Project FOCUS (For Our Children’s Ultimate Success) programming at a specific school site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, although other tasks and duties may be assigned:
· Be thoroughly familiar with the approved grant contract with MDE.
· Provide administration and direction to support the out-of-school time program, including the development of program activities and activity units
· Recruit, hire, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate staff.
· Post schedule and daily written lesson plans with staff assigned to specific duties.
· Monitor contracted workers.
· Establish partnerships with the school site and partner agencies.
· Assist with the recruitment and retention of students.
· Plan and conduct parent/family service events.
· Assist in communication with all staff, including teachers, principals, parents, transportation coordinator, community partners, site coach and program director.
· Assist program staff with daily programming and administration of the grant.
· Work closely with the site coach to assess the program and staffing needs, including human resource issues.
· Serve on special events committees as needed.
· Maintain all attendance and re-enrollment records to ensure that all records are up to date in the statewide evaluation system (EZ Reports and YPQA).
· Understand security plans and active involvement in emergency procedures, crisis prevention plans, and student disciplinary policies.
· Maintains all Project FOCUS property and equipment.
· Utilize appropriate technology, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Publisher.
· Attends all mandatory meetings, conferences, and training.
· Assist community liaison in building partnerships and securing necessary donations.
· Travel to various sites and TrueNorth.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
· Attend all staff meetings.
SUPERVISORY REPONSIBILITIES: This position directly supervises Program Assistants. This position will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with TrueNorth’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
SCHEDULE: This position is on a 44-week schedule (85% FTE).
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or University
· Must meet minimum requirements for licensing as a Program Director as defined in Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers, December 2008.
· Valid Michigan driver's license and the ability to travel to and from sites on a regular basis.

- Ability to utilize various cloud-based software to accurately record and approve hours worked;
- Ability to work with a variety of systems, agencies, vendors, data, and individuals while exhibiting excellent communication skills;
- Possess and demonstrate the skill to effectively coordinate multiple projects with short deadlines;
- Ability to maintain records and prepare verbal and written reports;
- Ability to explain program policies and procedures to program staff, participants, volunteers and participant families;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school staff, administrators, employees, participants, volunteers, community partners, and families of participants;
- Ability to maintain participant and agency confidentiality;
