Purpose:
We're looking for experienced truck drivers to transport petroleum products safely and efficiently to our customers across various routes. This role requires working up to 11 hours at a time, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete required documentation accurately either manually or using technology to ensure timely delivery and maintenance in accordance with relevant laws.
- Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip checks to guarantee compliance with regulations.
- Keep loading cards and credentials up-to-date at all terminals.
- Load, transport, and unload petroleum products safely to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain flexibility to adapt to different shifts to meet business needs.
- Comply with Hours of Service requirements, medical certification, and other regulatory obligations.
- Demonstrate constant alertness and safe operation practices.
- Hold and maintain certifications required by D.O.T, OSHA, and company safety programs.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned to support overall team operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- This position demands regular talking and hearing, as well as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. Lifting items over 50 pounds is frequent. The employee must have close vision, central vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus frequently.
- This role involves outdoor work in extreme temperatures.
- Travel will primarily be local, but some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
- Candidate must hold a High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum Age: 23 Years.
- Two years of tanker experience or five years of driving experience with a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) having a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 26,001 lbs or more.
- A clear MVR record is essential.
- No more than two moving violations in the previous three years.
- No reckless operation; DUI, DWI, convictions.
- No failed D.O.T drug and alcohol test.
- Ability to pass all Pre-Employment screenings (Drug and Alcohol, Physical, Essential Functions Exam).
- A valid CDL A with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements is required.
- Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWC) may be necessary at some terminal locations.
