As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing professional dental hygiene services to patients under the supervision of a licensed dentist. Your primary duties will include performing dental cleanings, scaling and root planing procedures, and applying fluoride treatments.
You will also conduct oral health assessments, take dental x-rays, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques. Additionally, you will assist the dentist during dental procedures and maintain accurate patient records.

Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings and oral examinations to assess patients' oral health.
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants as necessary.
- Conduct scaling and root planing procedures to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take dental x-rays and develop them for diagnostic purposes.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral health advice.
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, such as fillings or extractions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as needed.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with other members of the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and attend continuing education courses as required.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program and possession of a valid dental hygiene license.
- Excellent knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, techniques, and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records.
- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and conducting oral health assessments.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
- Commitment to maintaining infection control and sterilization standards in the dental office.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
