Wealth Planning Associate Job Profile
Our Wealth Planning Associates (WPA) are key to delivering on our client promise of superior service. In support of our Sr. Financial Planners and Wealth Advisors, you will be assisting in all aspects of our comprehensive wealth management process. As part of our client-facing team, the WPA is critical in fostering and maintaining strong client relationships. This includes participating directly in client meetings and driving the implementation of our financial planning recommendations. The role involves keeping the lines of communication open with both the client and the internal team.
The WPA role affords the opportunity for career progression into more senior roles on our team, such as Financial Planner or Wealth Advisor. This role is designed to develop both the technical and relationship-building skills required to one day lead client relationships. Additionally, you will experience broad exposure to our specialist-led advice model, including tax, estate planning, and investment management.

This is a dynamic role that requires a keen attention to detail, managing a multi-threaded workflow, communicating with clients and teammates, and a desire for continued learning and improvement.
Core Responsibilities
  • Work cohesively with our wealth management professionals, actively participate in meetings, and communicate with clients to seamlessly deliver our integrated client experience
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-up
  • Coordinate with our wealth management professionals on client meeting preparation
    • Assist in gathering and organizing client financial information, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities
    • Prepare financial documents, reports, and other deliverables for client meetings
    • Conduct financial planning analyses including retirement projections, insurance evaluations, education funding analysis, and other financial analyses supporting our client service.
  • Track and drive implementation of financial planning recommendations
    • Record meeting notes, action items, tasks, and client follow-ups
    • Warmly assist clients in accomplishing their to-do items
    • Provide helpful reminders to clients and team members
    • Maintain accurate and organized client files and records utilizing appropriate firm tracking tools - Airtable (FP Huddle Guide, Equity Comp database etc.), CRM, Money Guide Pro and related software
    • Assist in tracking cash flows between family entities.
  • Use independent judgment to execute assigned projects, identify issues, and deliver solutions, earning the continued confidence of your team members

Requirements
  • Strong academic track record, including the achievement of a bachelor’s or advanced degree.
  • Current CFP® professional or ambition to become a CFP® professional.
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience in financial services supporting advisors and building financial plans.
  • A positive, client-centric mindset with the initiative and drive to exceed expectations.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams and manage internal processes, with a high attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated to work both collaboratively and autonomously.
  • Demonstrate initiative to grow both personally and professionally as our industry and firm changes.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of working on a computer and occasional periods sitting.
  • May have to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Minimal travel required. Frequent attendance at internal meetings required.
  • Occasional attendance at meeting with outside partners.
  • Travel outside the region may be required for business and/or professional development.
