TrueSense Marketing is looking for an Envelope Converter Operator to join our team at our Bloomsburg location. Our Envelope Converter Operator reports to the Plant Manager. Job duties include working on the production floor operating our W&D Easy Enveloper. This position requires long periods of standing, quick motions and high pace filling for production orders.
Selected Candidate will train on 1st shift and transition to permanent 3rd Shift upon completion of training.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures machine is running correctly and efficiently
- Follows pre-make ready procedures.
- Ensures plate accuracy; job ticket matches original samples.
- Sets up machine for operation including: attach or adjust rollers and attachments; aligns chains, adhesives, inks, paper, and dyes.
- Reviews job ticket to ensure accuracy of ink matches; sets machine speeds for each job.
- Makes necessary adjustments, inspects envelopes, machine speed, minimizes down time.
- Keeps daily maintenance records and maintains machine settings.
- Maintains and repairs machine including: disassembly and re-assembly, lubrication, cleaning, inspection, preventative maintenance, and detection of damage.
- Ensures product meets job requirements.
- Checks all machine guards and safety mechanisms are in place and are effective.
- Inspects for quality during all phases of production.
- Works closely with production team to meet production and quality goals.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Mechanical experience to perform set up, adjustments and repairs production machines.
- Able to read and understand manufacturing work order instructions
- Mechanical skills: experience with setup, repairing and running machinery with precision moving parts.
