About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions and data pipelines that ensure seamless data handling and support business intelligence needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, scalable, and secure database solutions on GCP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Design & Development: Design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure SQL solutions for large datasets on GCP.
- Data Pipeline Development: Develop and optimize data pipelines using GCP tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
- Data Modeling: Create and maintain logical and physical data models to support business intelligence and analytics requirements.
- Query Optimization: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to improve performance and scalability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver database solutions.
- Data Quality & Integrity: Ensure high data quality, integrity, and reliability across systems and pipelines.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to maintain the health and performance of database systems.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for database schemas, pipelines, and workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- SQL Expertise: Strong experience in SQL development, including advanced query optimization and troubleshooting.
- GCP Experience: Proven experience working with GCP services, such as:
- BigQuery
- Dataflow
- Cloud Storage
- [Optional: Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, etc.]
- Database Management: Hands-on experience with relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
- Data Transformation: Proficiency in ETL processes and tools for data cleansing, transformation, and loading.
- Performance Tuning: Experience in database performance tuning and indexing strategies.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
