Overview
trueU HR is helping a growing painting business look for a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to keep their finances on track.
You’ll handle day-to-day accounting tasks, support invoicing for painting projects, and ensure the books are spotless. If you love numbers and want to be part of a creative, hands-on team, this is the role for you!
Position Responsibilities
Payroll
- Primary contact for payroll for all areas of the organization
- Perform month-end payroll, benefits, bonus, and other related accruals
- Communicate regularly with HR, payroll, and other stakeholders with appropriate confidentiality
General Ledger
- Preparing journal entries including recurring entries, accruals, and prepaid expenses
- Maintaining prepaid expense tracking accurately
- Monthly review of financial statements to ensure expenses are recorded properly
- Research and resolve basic accounting issues
Accounts Payable
- Entering invoices into payable management system for payment
- Collecting W-9 forms and payment instructions from all vendors
Accounts Receivable
- Responsible for depositing checks received at the office
- Records cash receipts
- Updating CRM system with payment and collection information
- Reconciles bank activity daily to ensure all entries have been recorded
- Performs collection activity for all past-due accounts

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent years of experience
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience; payroll accounting experience is highly preferred
- Advanced working knowledge of computer applications, including MS Excel
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Sound judgment in handling and communicating highly confidential information
- Strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and desire to take ownership and accountability
- Team player able to work well with all levels of individuals within the organization
- Internally driven and self-motivated
- Ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Commitment to customer service and quality
- Analytical ability to identify and suggest improvements to accounting and/or operational processes
- Experience working in a company providing field services to residential and/or commercial customers is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
