Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Planner / Estimator to join our Team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate material take off and material and subcontract cost estimates in a job shop environment, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered.
The ability to take on challenges and learn new skills is essential.
Post award, the planner / estimator will be responsible for building out travelers and production plans and releasing orders.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret customer requirements and produce production plans to support in a high mix environment.
The Planner / Estimator will play a crucial role in project management and cost control, contributing to the overall success of our projects.
Duties
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Utilize software tools such as JobBoss for efficient estimating and planning processes.
- Collaborate with team to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
- Monitor ongoing projects for cost control and provide updates on budget variances.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining estimated costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing, preferably in a machine and fabrication environment, supporting Aerospace Tooling and Defense contracting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in software such as Excel and JobBoss is preferred.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accuracy in estimates and production plans.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 is beneficial.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
