Fitness Manager

Description

As a Fitness Manager, you'll drive the overall success of our club's fitness operations by leading a team of Personal Trainers, optimizing fitness programming, and delivering an exceptional member experience. This role is key in achieving club goals across personal training, small group training, supplement sales, and overall fitness revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, hire, and develop a team of certified Personal Trainers.
• Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings to provide performance feedback, coaching, and motivation.
• Foster a results-driven team culture focused on accountability, growth, and excellence.

Fitness Program Oversight

• Manage the club’s fitness schedule, balancing team availability with member needs.
• Oversee small group training programs in collaboration with key program leaders.
• Ensure all members receive guidance from a knowledgeable and service-oriented fitness team.

Member Engagement

• Own the new member onboarding experience, ensuring a seamless and engaging introduction to club fitness services.
• Act as the go-to fitness expert for members and staff, providing support, insight, and professional expertise.
• Drive member retention through effective fitness programming and positive interactions.

Sales & Goal Achievement

• Lead personal training and supplement sales to meet and exceed club revenue goals.
• Motivate and guide team members to achieve their individual and team sales targets.
• Implement strategies to increase participation in small group training programs.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure compliance with company quality assurance standards across all fitness operations.
• Maintain accurate administration of personal training, including client profiles, progress tracking, and training plans.
• Step in to deliver personal training sessions or small group classes as needed.

Requirements

Certifications / Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current Certified Personal Trainer certification (preferred).
• Current CPR and AED.

Experience

• 1-2 years as a personal trainer (preferred).
• Prior management experience in the fitness industry leading 5-10 employees (preferred).
• Successful personal sales experience (required).
