Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Robotic Welding Technician to join our team. This unique role bridges both production welding and hands-on research and development work. You’ll operate and program robotic welding arms, contribute to ongoing process improvements, and assist in developing emerging techniques such as additive welding.

Key Responsibilities:
Production:
Operate robotic welding arms to perform consistent, high-quality welds on production parts.
Program and adjust robotic weld paths using teach pendants or other interfaces.
Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic systems.
Inspect and verify weld quality according to specifications.
Accurately document production activity and machine settings.
R&D / Additive Welding:
Support the development of experimental welding and additive manufacturing processes.
Work closely with engineers and team members to test new procedures and concepts.
Set up and monitor additive welding trials; collect and analyze process data.
Offer hands-on input to improve workflows and weld performance.
Team & Growth:
Collaborate with the team to continuously improve processes and share knowledge.
Be proactive in learning new technologies and techniques.
Grow into a leadership role by taking ownership of tasks, mentoring others, and contributing ideas.
Show initiative in developing new solutions and helping shape future capabilities.
Qualifications:
Required:
1–3 years of experience in welding (manual or robotic) or technical training in welding/automation.
Solid understanding of welding basics (MIG/TIG/Stick, wire types, shielding gases, etc.).
Familiarity with robotic welding systems (ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa, KUKA, etc.).
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude.
Ability to interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical documentation.
Desire to grow, lead, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Preferred:
Exposure to additive welding processes (e.g., WAAM, directed energy deposition, etc.).
Experience with CAD/CAM, G-code, or offline robot programming.
Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) are a plus but not required.
