We are hiring immediately for a Scale Operations / Office Admin in Renton Highlands, WA! This is a customer-facing position in a blue collar industrial office environment. Responsibilities include weighing and grading incoming material, operating in-bound and out-bound scales, directing customers to the appropriate areas for unloading, facilitating payment, attending to current and potential clients and dealing with inquiries on the phone, via email, and face to face. Supply information regarding the organization to the general public, clients and customers. Work in tandem with the Office Manager.
Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm Mon-Fri (Summer hours vary)
Compensation: $25 /hr ; Contract-to-Hire, full benefits upon conversion
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
-Customer service, internally and externally
-Strictly adheres to all Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
-Conduct scale operations and evaluate incoming / outgoing products
-Coordinate with office personnel to ensure accurate and timely documentation of all purchasing transactions
-Operate outgoing scale: identify commodity codes, and compute tickets total for payment
-File creation for all new customers
-Report maintenance for monthly operations meetings
-Other tasks as assigned
Education and Experience
-High School Diploma or GED
-Minimum 1-3 years experience in a similar role preferred
-Mathematical and problem solving skills, basic negotiation skills, attention to detail, and basic typing skills required
-Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds occasionally, crouch or bend at the knees occasionally to increase visibility; reach at arm’s length frequently or overhead occasionally; twist and turn at the neck and trunk; walk frequently on uneven ground; sit or stand continually; communicate by speech and hearing continually. Visual acuity needed for close detail work.
