The TruHome team is comprised of knowledgeable management and maintenance professionals whose primary goal is to provide tenants with an excellent customer experience and property owners with cost-effective solutions to all of their property management needs.
We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the condition of our rental properties. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks such as painting, HVAC repair, appliance repair, light electrical and plumbing troubleshooting, landscaping, etc. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
This job requires travel to a multitude of properties in/around Fargo/Moorhead and the surrounding communities.
Responsibilities
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with standards
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems
- Assist in the repair of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure the functionality
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)
Skills
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime occasionally
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field will be a plus and come with additional pay
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle with insurance
- A basic set of tools (drill/driver, wrenches, hammer, pliers, level, saw)
- You will be on-call approximately every 6-8 weeks for 1 week, otherwise, no nights/weekends required
- A thorough criminal and credit background check will be conducted prior to hiring.
- TruHome must hold a specific set of standards as you will be required to work within occupied homes.
- Top-dollar will be paid to anyone with a minimum of 1-year of proven property maintenance experience, in addition to a $500 sign-on bonus.
