Environmental Project Manager I
Undergraduate degree preferred, not required
· Field work: sample collection of environmental media (soil, groundwater, surface water, air) for laboratory analysis in support of environmental due diligence assessments and remediation / clean up projects. Includes overseeing driller and crew, logging of soils, use of sampling equipment, sample management and chain of custody procedures, occasional manual sample collection; includes travel / driving within Texas, based out of San Antonio or Houston (relocation package not offered)
· Project management: includes project set up, mobilization, coordination of sub-contractors, completion of paperwork, report writing and compilation; interacting with clients; maintenance of field monitors and sampling equipment; ordering supplies and consumables / maintaining inventory
· Report preparation: writing of summary reports and preliminary interpretation of laboratory analytical data
· Skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office primarily Word and Excel; experience with GIS software; understanding of ASTM requirements for environmental due diligence assessments; familiarity with USCS soil classifications/logging
· Competencies: organized, strong communication skills, problem-solving, able to work in the field (all seasons); initiative; ingenuity; adaptability
· Position works closely with related staff scientists; reports to Remediation Projects Director
· Small environmental consulting company, opportunity to work and learn in other departments
Entry level: $48,000 - $54,000 (commensurate with experience and education level)
Vehicle allowance offered in addition to base salary, travel expenses covered by company (including gas)
