Please review the following job description:

Provide consultative leadership and develop working relationships across the user base for the enterprise-wide system(s) of record for governance materials Support the continued development of the Climate Risk Program at Truist with an emphasis on committee reporting, policies and procedures, data management, climate analysis, external disclosures, and other related tasks.

LOCATION:

Please note: to be considered for the role, candidate must be in one of the following locations a minimum of 4 days per week:

  • Charlotte, NC

  • Atlanta, GA

No Full Remote/Telecommute. No Relocation Assistance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.  

1. Create presentations for a range of key stakeholders and groups, including business leaders, risk executives, and management- and board-level committees.

2. Maintain and develop relevant governance documents, including policies and procedures

3. Enhance Climate Risk reporting efforts, including risk assessments, dashboards, and metrics.

4. Support and provide technical expertise to the development and delivery of risk governance stakeholder trainings and communications to support a proactive, enterprise-level and risk-based oversight program. 

5. Develop project plans and monitor progress on priority areas, including climate scenario analysis and Risk Program integration efforts.

6. Support the enhancement of Climate Risk data management efforts, including creating strategies to source additional internal and external data elements.

7. Identify and monitor risk governance exceptions, issues, and emerging trends across the system(s) of record user base to drive their remediation, acceptance, or escalation to governing bodies.

8. Support and contribute to the execution of additional Risk Program requirements.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Communications or equivalent education and related training

2. 5 years of financial services or risk management experience or demonstrated equivalent proficiency

3. Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with ability to interact and communicate across functions and levels of organization 

4. Strong analytical, cognitive, conceptual, critical thinking and organizational skills

5. Demonstrated coordination, communication (verbal and written), presentation and facilitation skills

6. Demonstrated planning ability with demonstrated judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills

7. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in Climate Risk at a financial services, consulting, or similar company

2. MBA, CFA, or equivalent education and related training
